I didn't receive my download link+
First, check your spam / promotions folder for an email from support@publicleads.com — most missing emails land there. If it's not there after 10 minutes, email us with the address you used at checkout and we'll resend immediately.
My payment failed — what now?+
The most common cause is a currency / card-country mismatch. We charge in CAD for Canadian lists and USD for US lists; some banks decline foreign-currency charges by default. Try a different card (Visa or Mastercard usually work), enable foreign transactions in your bank's app, or email us and we can send a Stripe payment link with extra options.
How do I get a refund?+
All sales are final because the dataset is delivered instantly as a CSV. That said, if the delivered data materially differs from the page preview (e.g. significantly fewer records, or widespread inaccurate contact details), email support@publicleads.com within 7 days with your order email and specific examples. We review each case individually and may issue a refund or replacement at our discretion. See /refund for the full policy.
Is the data CASL / CAN-SPAM compliant for cold outreach?+
Records come from publicly listed business contact information. CASL (Canada) treats this as implied consent for B2B outreach; CAN-SPAM (US) permits cold B2B email if you identify the sender, include a physical address, and honor opt-outs. You remain the sender of record — the compliance details around your message content and unsubscribe handling are on you, not us.
How often is the data updated?+
The full dataset is refreshed monthly. New operators get added and closed businesses removed each cycle. If you bought a list more than 30 days ago and want the latest version, email us and we'll send a free updated copy.
