Terms of Service

1. Service description

PublicLeads sells verified business contact data (name, phone, address, email, website, ratings) sourced from public business listings (Google Maps, Google Business Profiles, public directories). Sold as one-time CSV downloads — no subscriptions.

2. Your responsibilities

  • Use data only for legitimate B2B outreach
  • Comply with applicable anti-spam laws:
    • CASL (Canada) — implied consent for B2B contact, but unsubscribe handling required
    • CAN-SPAM (US) — sender identification, unsubscribe, accuracy of subject lines
    • GDPR (EU) — if contacting EU recipients
  • Honor unsubscribe requests promptly
  • Do not resell, redistribute, or use the data to build competing products
  • Verify accuracy of contact information before high-volume sending

3. Our responsibilities

  • Deliver verified data we have on hand at time of purchase
  • Maintain data security via Stripe + Supabase encryption
  • Provide customer support via hello@publicleads.com
  • Honor refund policy as stated in /refund

4. Limitations

  • Data accuracy is best-effort. Businesses change, websites go down, emails bounce.
  • We don't guarantee specific deliverability rates or response rates
  • We're not responsible for how you use the data or recipients' reactions
  • We're not responsible for downstream marketing performance

5. Acceptable use

You may NOT:

  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk email
  • Use data for fraud, scams, or harassment
  • Resell or redistribute the data (commercial or free)
  • Use data to train AI/ML models for commercial use
  • Reverse engineer our service or copy our database

We reserve the right to ban users and revoke data access for violations.

6. Termination

  • We may refuse service or refund any order at our discretion (eg suspected fraud, terms violation)
  • You can request data deletion any time at hello@publicleads.com
  • Termination doesn't void Section 5 (acceptable use survives)

7. Disputes / Chargebacks

  • Contact us first at hello@publicleads.com before filing chargebacks
  • Filing a chargeback without contacting us results in permanent ban
  • We're a small operation, please give us a chance to resolve issues

8. Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by Ontario, Canada law
  • Disputes resolved in Ontario courts

9. Changes

  • We may update these terms. Material changes communicated via email or homepage banner.
  • Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
